San Francisco: Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working on a mute shortcut for group chats for future updates to the WhatsApp Desktop beta.

The mute shortcut will show up at the top of group chats and will help users turn off notifications about messages received in the group, WABetaInfo reports.

Earlier this month, Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that 1,024 users can be added to a group, so the new feature will be very useful for users who don’t want to receive a lot of notifications from them. group chats.

Meanwhile, the messaging platform has rolled out a new feature for some beta testers that allows users to view profile pictures in group chats on desktop.
