New Delhi: After testing for months with a limited number of users, the microblogging site Twitter on Tuesday announced that it has rolled out the Circle feature globally, allowing users to share their thoughts with a group of people. smaller – up to 150 people.
The company says Twitter Circle allows users to build closer, deeper connections with their followers without having to give up the option to talk to people on Timeline.
“Twitter started testing Twitter Circle in May 2022 with a limited number of users across iOS, Android, and the web. Now, after a successful test run, the feature is rolling out to everyone globally,” the company said in a statement.
The company says users can choose who on their Twitter Circle, and only select users can see, reply to, and interact with tweets they share in the circle.
People in your Circles will see a green badge under posts sent to the group.
They won’t be able to retweet anything you post there, but previous reports say they can still take screenshots and download your tweets.
According to the microblogging site, Twitter Circle is for people who want to eliminate the need for an alternative or sub-account and feel more comfortable tweeting and expressing themselves.
It’s also important to note that Twitter’s community guidelines apply even if you’re sending your tweets to a smaller audience, the company said.
