While the majority of smartphone releases are already behind us as we head into December, there are still a few promising ones in the works. Major smartphone launches are planned for December 2022 from companies including Xiaomi, Realme, iQOO, Moto and others. This list includes smartphones that are being released in China and India this month. Therefore, there will be many options available to you in December 2022 if you are looking for a new smartphone in the market. Let’s take a look at each phone that will be released this month.

The Xiaomi 13 will feature a 6.36-inch E6 AMOLED FHD+ flat screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and razor-sharp bezels, which is a significant improvement over its predecessor. The phone has been confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 internal storage. In terms of optics, the Xiaomi 13 is expected to come with a 32-megapixel front camera. The vanilla model will have a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor. The phone will house a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It will boot MIUI 14 based on Android 13 right out of the box.

Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 6.73-inch E6 AMOLED Quad HD+ curved screen with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The phone will be powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 internal storage. In terms of imaging, the Xiaomi 13 Pro will have a triple-camera setup at the back with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. A 32-megapixel snapper on the front will take care of selfies and video calls.

The Xiaomi 13 series will also be Xiaomi’s first global line to cooperate with Leica. The phone will house a 4,820mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging. It will launch MIUI 14 based on Android 13 as soon as it ships.

iQOO 11 features a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED 1.5K flat panel display with 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The phone will be powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 internal storage. In terms of optics, the next iQOO flagship will include Vivo’s proprietary V2 ISP chip and a triple camera arrangement at the back with a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor. The 16-megapixel camera on the phone will take care of taking selfies. The device will ship with Android 13 based on OriginOS 3 and come with a sizable 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

iQOO 11 Pro

In contrast to the standard model, the iQOO 11 Pro has a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED Quad HD+ curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compatibility. The phone will be powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 internal storage. In terms of optics, there is a triple camera arrangement with Vivo’s unique V2 ISP technology and a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor. Selfies and video calls will be handled by the 16-megapixel camera. It will come with Android 13 based on OriginOS 3 and will pack a large 4,700mAh battery with 200W fast charging support.

Moto X40 (China)

The Moto X40 will launch in China for the first time and could be renamed the Moto Edge 40 Pro in India and globally. It will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display offering Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 165Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color, and HDR10+ support. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with up to 18GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 internal storage. The smartphone will include three cameras on the back: a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto shooter. The front of the phone will have a 60-megapixel selfie camera. It will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and support 68W or 125W fast charging when running Android 13 on the MyUI 5 platform.

iQOO Neo 7 SE will come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the yet to be announced MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS3.1 internal storage. The device will have a 16-megapixel front camera and a triple camera cluster with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the back. iQOO Neo7 SE will boot Android 13 OS with OriginOS 3 on top. Other features on the smartphone include NFC, IR blaster, in-display fingerprint scanner and 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

The Realme 10 Pro has a 6.73-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and narrow bezels. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS2.2 internal storage. On the camera front, the handset comes with a dual camera setup at the back with a 108-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Selfies and video calls will be handled by the 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is pre-installed with the latest Android 13 version along with Realme UI 3.0 user interface and is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

The handset will sport a 16-megapixel camera on the front and a triple-camera setup on the rear with a 108-megapixel main sensor, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Other features on the smartphone include NFC, an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
