Sony owned Guerrilla’s new horizon multiplayer to star new characters
The Sony-owned Guerrilla horizon series includes Horizon Forbidden West, Horizon Call of the Mountain and Horizon Zero Dawn.
The Sony-owned guerrilla game confirmed a new Horizon online multiplayer game in a shared tweet about the work at the studio.
“Join Guerrilla in Amsterdam as we work to expand the world of Horizon,” the company tweeted. “A new internal team is developing a separate Online Project set in the universe of Horizon,” an image in the tweet reads. “With a new cast of characters and a uniquely stylized interface, friends will be able to explore the majestic wilderness of Horizon together,” it added.
According to the Horizon series of games, Sony-owned Guerrilla includes — Horizon Forbidden West, Horizon Call of the Mountain and Horizon Zero Dawn, according to the company’s website. The company was founded as Lost Boys Games in January 2000 through the merger of three smaller development studios as a subsidiary of the “Lost Boys” multimedia conglomerate.
In 2005, the company was acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The company is also best known for its Killzone series of games. In October, Sony announced that it would launch the DualSense Edge wireless controller, the first extremely customizable controller developed by PlayStation, globally on January 26, 2023. Edge will cost $199.99.
