Proof Of Sound In Space: Hear What A Black Hole Sounds Like
What is a black hole?
Based on NASAA black hole is a place in space where gravity pulls so much that even light cannot escape. The force of gravity is very strong because the matter has been squeezed into an extremely small amount of space. This can happen when a star is dying.
Black holes are invisible to the naked eye because light cannot escape from them. However, they can be seen through special telescopes with special instruments.
NASA recently released what a black hole sounds like.
Acoustic evidence in space
NASA has released an audio clip of the sound waves emanating from a supermassive black hole, located 250 million light-years away. The aforementioned black hole is located at the center of the Perseus galaxy cluster. The sound waves emitted by it were recorded and increased to 57 and 58 octaves for human hearing. The resulting sound was a bone-chilling and extremely eerie sound that sounded like it was from another world.
The video released by NASA in May 2022 is the first example of these sound waves being extracted and made audible.
The sound emitted by the black hole will not be audible at the original loudness. The waves include the lowest note ever detected in the Universe, and it is well below the limits of human hearing.
The recent audio release was made possible because of NASA-performed amplification, which pushed the recording to multiple octaves.
The sound waves are split in a radial direction i.e. outward from the black hole and radiate in a counterclockwise direction from the center, so sound can be heard in all directions from the supermassive black hole at magnitudes 144 quartiles and 288 million times higher than their original frequencies.
