OnePlus 10 Pro gets OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 2 based on Android 13, Check what’s new

OnePlus 10 Pro is currently receiving OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 2 based on Android 13. The smartphone maker (OnePlus) previously rolled out OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 1 to its 10 Pro users. The new update on the OnePlus 10 Pro offers several new features, improved efficiency and personalization, bug fixes, and more.

OnePlus announced the update through its post on OnePlus Community Forum. Details about the OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 2 update are detailed below.

• Aquamorphic Design

  • Added Aquamorphic Design theme color for enhanced visual comfort.
  • Apply the Aquamorphic Design philosophy to animations to make them natural and alive.
  • Add a world clock widget on the Home screen to show the time in different time zones.
  • Upgrade to Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, with new behavior recognition, recognizing complex gestures and providing optimized interactions.
  • Apply real-world physics to animations to make them look more natural and intuitive.
  • Optimize fonts for better readability.
  • Enrich and optimize illustrations for features by incorporating cross-cultural and inclusive elements.

  • Adds Meeting Assistant to enhance meeting connectivity and introduces an option to make notifications more subtle and less distracting.
  • Add large folders to the Home screen. You can now open an app in a magnified folder with a single tap, and flip pages in a folder with a swipe.
  • Add media playback controls and optimize the Quick Settings experience.
  • Add more markup tools to edit screenshots.
  • Optimized Shelves. Swiping down on the Home screen shows Prices by default. You can search for content online and on your device.

• Seamless connection

  • Optimized headphone connection for a more seamless experience.

• Personalized

  • Optimized Bitmoji to provide a variety of Always On Screen animations.
  • Optimize Insight’s Always-On Display, with more personalized Always-On Display settings available.
  • Optimized Canvas Always-On Display, with more drawing tools and line colors available.

• Security and privacy

  • Added automatic pixelation for screenshots of chats. The system may identify and automatically pixelate the profile picture and name shown in the chat screenshot to protect your privacy.
  • Added regular clipboard data deletion to protect privacy.
  • Optimized Privacy Safety. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is used to encrypt all files to enhance the security of private files.

• Digital health & wellbeing

  • Add Kid Space, which provides device usage time limits, ambient light reminders, and eye-protective display features.

• Performance Optimization

  • Add Dynamic Compute Engine to improve your system’s speed, stability, battery life, and app experience.
  • Optimized Dolby Sound effect with enhanced spatial sound field perception and more accurate sound source.

• Gaming experience

  • Upgrade to HyperBoost GPA 4.0 to stabilize frame rates and balance performance and power consumption in key scenarios.

• System

  • Improve system stability for some cases.
  • Fixes an issue where icons sometimes overlap in Quick Settings.
  • Addressed issue where a table may be automatically pulled down from the status bar in some cases.
  • Addresses an issue that could cause auto-brightness to respond slowly.
  • Fix occasional flickering that may occur when your device’s screen is off or on.
  • Fixes an issue where the Quick Settings background could appear transparent.
  • Addressed issue where you may not be able to wake your display by double-tapping it in Guest mode.
  • Fixes an issue where your screen might wake up slowly when the Power button is pressed.
  • Fixes an issue where the “More” category could take up a large portion of your device’s memory.

• Camera

  • Fixes an issue where Camera lags.

Things need to notice

Users should note that the update is beta software and less stable than the official version. Users are advised to back up the entire system before installation. Users should keep the battery level above 30% while the storage space on the device should be at least 5GB. Carrier instance devices are not compatible with Open beta builds.
