Netflix’s ‘Profile Transfer’ feature is now available in India
New Delhi: Popular streaming platform Netflix, which recently announced a ‘Switch Profile’ feature to prevent password sharing, is now available in India.
It is fully enabled and available to users.
The company says the “highly requested” feature allows users to transfer their personalized recommendations, watch history, My List, saved games and other preferences to a new account when they started to become members of their own, the company said.
Customers have already started receiving emails to upgrade to the new feature.
“We will never transfer your payment information and cannot transfer Child records. All saved games and game progress connected to a profile will carry over to the new account,” it added.
The streaming platform also mentions that users will always be in control of their accounts. They can turn off Profile Transfer on apps and the web by signing in to their account.
Meanwhile, in an effort to introduce an ad-supported tier to its users, the company has announced that it will be rolling out its ‘Basic with Ads’ streaming plan on November 3 in select areas. nation.
Additionally, Netflix recently announced that it is planning to stop sharing passwords starting in 2023.
