Apple likely to unveil M2-powered new MacBook Pros early next year
San Francisco: Tech giant Apple, the most anticipated M2-powered 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are likely to hit the market in the first half of 2023.
According to famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the upcoming MacBook Pro with the new processor will enter mass production in the fourth quarter of this year.
“New 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with new processor will go into mass production in Q4 2012,” Kuo wrote on Twitter microblogging platform.
“Following TSMC’s guidance that 3nm will contribute revenue starting at 1H23, processors of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models can still adopt the 5nm enhanced node,” added Kuo.
Current M2 products include the 13-inch MacBook Pro and refurbished MacBook Air.
Earlier reports mentioned that MacBook Pro models equipped with the M2 Pro and M2 Max will arrive in the fall.
New Mac models will offer better internal specifications rather than receiving any significant changes.
For the Mac, Apple generated $7.4 billion in revenue despite supply constraints and negative effects in the June quarter.
Mac revenue fell 10% due to supply chain constraints and unfavorable exchange rates.
