San Francisco: Tech giant Apple’s iPhone 14 and Apple Watch smartphones are still sending false alerts from skiers because of Crash Detection, built into iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and Apple models New Watch, straining emergency resources.
Apple devices for US state skiers have sent automated crash alerts to dispatchers at Summit County’s 911 Center, AppleInsider reports.

“We’re not in the habit of ignoring calls,” said Trina Dummer, interim director of Summit County’s 911 Center.

Earlier this month, Summit County dispatchers in the US state noticed an increase in accidental emergency calls from skiers because of the feature.
