Bengaluru: The Karnataka authorities has determined to reopen colleges for college kids from class 9 to 12 (II PUC) from August 23, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai mentioned on Friday.

After taking inventory of the COVID-19 scenario within the state, he mentioned that the federal government has determined to impose weekend curfew in districts bordering Kerala and Maharashtra, and that the present evening curfew throughout the state will start from 9 PM as an alternative of 10 PM.

The Chief Minister on Friday chaired a gathering with well being and schooling specialists, Ministers and senior officers of the state authorities to debate the COVID-19 scenario within the state.

“We have discussed the current COVID situation, also some directions have come at the all-India level about the possible increase or decrease in the positivity rate in the days to come, based on that we have come to certain decisions,” Bommai mentioned.
