Japanese studio Noma has announced that they will be working on three feature films about the crypto world backed by various insights from experts. The first theatrical film titled ‘Rhetoric Star’ is currently in pre-production and will hit the limelight in 2024. Noma founder, Taicho Iô, in a statement mentioned that the series This trilogy aims to educate people about cryptocurrencies through instrumental creative storytelling. As for the crew behind the anthology series ‘Star of Speech’, will be in charge and produced by Taicho Ito himself.
According to a Cointelegraph reportIto believes that the Star of Rhetoric will “change the way” audiences learn about cryptocurrencies. The Noma founder proudly adds that the team is working with Bitcoin experts and award-winning sound designer Sefi Carmel. Japanese animator Haruna Gohzu, who has worked on popular anime series such as PokémonFairy Tail and Demon Slayer will take the lead in the film’s animation.
The second film in the series, titled “Opus” and described as “an animated feature film chronicling the production of Rhetoric Star”, will be released in one-minute segments. every week until the first movie in the series hits the big screen.
The series is also produced by Mai Fujimoto, CEO of Tokyo-based blockchain company Gracone, and Ryo Nakatsuji, executive director at Japanese publisher CoinPost.
Back in April, Bored Ape Yacht Club, the popular non-fungible token (NFT) project, announced movie trilogy, produced by one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world by trading volume, Coinbase. Yuga Labs, the creators of BAYC, has partnered with Coinbase to produce a series of three animated short films, with the series titled ‘The Degen Trilogy’.
The characters in the story will be based on Bored Ape NFTs and token holders were asked to submit their own character description, which would be evaluated and selected by a Hollywood selection director.
