‘The Bachelor’ Season 27: Zach Shallcross Returning To Find Love After Rachel Split

Part 27 of Bachelor took the lead – Zach Shallcross! The 26-year-old first appeared in the franchise in season 19 of Bachelorettebut broke up with Rachel Recchia after a date in a pathetic fantasy movie. Now, he is ready to find love again and he will start by dating a group of 30 women in the upcoming season of Bachelor. The announcement was made during the live portion of the finale Bachelorettewith Zach appearing to celebrate the exciting news.

Zach had one of his first face-to-face dates with Rachel this season of Bachelorette. When the sequel came, Rachel had a successful meeting with Zach’s family, and he told her he loved her. Unfortunately, things changed when the two spent time off the camera during their fantasy movie date. Zach, then 25, revealed that Rachel began to question whether he was ready for an engagement. He assured her he was ready to commit, but said that things were “turned off” between them during the night.

The next day, Zach admits that he feels like Rachel is being “inauthentic” and begins to question their relationship. Before the next rose ceremony, he pulled her aside and they ended the relationship. Rachel and Zach faced off in season one of the finale live on September 13 and apologized to each other for how things went downhill. They ended things very friendly after the reunion, which took place about 4 months after the breakup.

Fans were left disappointed when things went awry for Rachel and Zach, but thankfully, viewers will (hopefully) still see him find love. Bachelor returns for the 27th season in early January 2023 on ABC.
