‘The Bachelorette’ Recap: The Endings To Rachel & Gabby’s Journeys Are Revealed

Season two of the season 19 finale of Bachelorette aired on September 20, with footage from Gabby Windey and By Rachel Recchia their final days in Mexico in May, as well as live studio updates on where they are now. The episode begins with Gabby and Rachel each left with only one guy – Eric Schwer and Tino Francocorresponding.

The show started in the studio, with the presenter Jesse Palmer deals with a number of scandals that have become public involving Erich and Jesse in recent weeks. He mentioned Tino’s “careless things,” as well as the “damn text messages” Erich sent to an ex just days before leaving for filming in March. However, a lot has to come down before those problems can be resolved. The previously taped episode begins with a conversation between Gabby and Erich, where he begins to question if he’s ready to propose after just a few weeks, even though he knows he’s in love with Gabby.

Knowing she wanted a marriage proposal, Gabby was frustrated with the conversation, but went back to hashing everything out. Erich emphasizes that he wants the relationship to work and urges Gabby to keep trying with him. They end the night well, and Gabby is sure she loves Erich and wants to be with him.

Meanwhile, Rachel tells Tino that he is her only man left after her breakup. Aven Jones. Tino confirmed that he is still on the same page as Rachel about her engagement and future together. Rachel is more confident than ever in her relationship with Tino at this point.

Rachel heads to the final rose ceremony, ready to give Tino her last rose. Tino proposes with a romantic speech, and Rachel accepts his emerald-cut sparkler. She called the moment “the happiest moment” of her life as they celebrated their engagement in Mexico. However, back in real time, things fell apart for Rachel and Tino. She told Jesse on After the last rose that they broke up within months of filming after she found out he was cheating on her.

In footage shot a few weeks earlier, Tino admits to Rachel that he kissed another girl. Rachel has admitted that she and Tino had a rough time Bachelorette premiered, but they never broke up or ended their engagement. Apparently, she was very disappointed to learn of his recklessness. The two have a heated argument, and Tino begs Rachel to sort things out. However, she was “done” and gave him the ring back. Back in the studio, Rachel says she has a love “for” Tino, but is no longer in love with him at all.

Then she and Tino face off for the first time since Rachel broke off her engagement. The conversation went nowhere, and Rachel ended it by stoning Tino for doing something “indefensible”. However, she was finally able to smile again when one of her former contestants, Aven Jones, went back to the stage and asked her if she wanted to come with him. She happily accepted and left the show with Aven, hoping to explore their relationship again.

Everything then moves back to Mexico to end Gabby’s journey. Erich proposed with an oval ring, and they happily celebrated their engagement. In the studio, however, Jesse revealed that “not everything has turned out so bright” between the two in the months since. Erich took the stage and the two were still happily engaged, but they had a lot to discuss.

Erich first talked about his text messages with an ex that were leaked this week. The texts show Erich saying that he just continued Bachelorette for his career. He also said the show wasn’t “real” in another message. Erich took responsibility for the messages and explained that his feelings about the show changed soon after he met Gabby. He also admitted that he used the show as a way to get out of a relationship with his ex, with whom he saw no future. Gabby shows her support for Erich, and they confirm that they are still together.
