Willie Spencerunner-up Season 19 of American Idol, is presumed dead after succumbing to injuries from an October 11 car crash in Tennessee. Rising talent who talked to HollywoodLife in 2021 on his career ambitions, was only 23 years old at the time of the tragedy. Sadly, his last Instagram post was an announcement about an upcoming concert in London.
The singer’s local newspaper, Douglas Now, was the first to report his death on Facebook. “He is an extraordinary talent and a ray of light to millions around the world,” the outlet added. “He will be ignored.” Katharine McPheewho performed with Willie during his time on Idol, posted to her Instagram Story shortly after the announcement, writing, “Life is unfair and nothing is promised.” She added, “God rest your soul Willie. Nice to sing with you and get to know you.”

1. Wille went through a massive weight loss
Before his audition on American Idol, Willie shared about the health fear that led him to lose weight to save his own life. Willie explained: “I went to the hospital for a checkup because I had pain in my chest. “The doctors told me they found fluid in my lungs. I weigh 600 pounds. When they told me that, I knew I had to focus more on my health. I went from £600 to £400”.

2. How Will Willie Lose Weight?
Willie’s story impressed the host, Ryan Seacrest, who asked him how he can get in better shape. Willie admits: “My eating is an important part. “Now I have a coach. I am doing better. I have no liquid. In total, Willie had lost more than 180 pounds by the time he auditioned. “I’m just getting fit and focused,” he said. “If I wasn’t in good health, I wouldn’t be able to sing.”

Willie credits his family for helping him get through tough times. “I do this for my family,” he said before his audition. “They always support me. They have been there from day one. During the introduction week, Willie added, “This year has been a tough year. Being in the hospital really scared me. I thought I wouldn’t survive.
