‘Jeopardy’: The Current Host, Most Recent Champion & More You Need To Know

Part 39 of Risk! premieres September 12th with new permanent servers Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings. America’s favorite game show doesn’t have a longtime host Alex Trebek, who tragically passed away in November 2020. Alex’s last show aired on January 8, 2021, after which a guest team took over. In August 2021, executive producer Mike Richards was named the host of the syndicated edition, while Mayim was chosen to host prime hour specials and series. However, Mike had to resign due to past controversies, so Mayim and Ken were appointed as interim hosts.

Ken and Mayim are the official hosts of Risk! now. Ken will also host the Second Chance tournament and the Tournament of Champions, while Mayim will host Celebrity Jeopardy! and National University Championships.

Ken is hosting the show Risk! during the week of September 26. Ken is the former most famous Risk! championship and had the longest winning streak in the show’s history with 74 consecutive wins. He won $4.5 million as a contestant.

Mayim is currently hosting Celebrity Jeopardy! premiered on September 25th. It has a total of 27 celebrities including Marvel actors Simu Liu, Saturday night live star My money, and more. They play for a charity of their choice.

HollywoodLife spoke to Mayim at Call me Kat junket press on September 21 about how she balances hosting Risk! and produced/starred on the sitcom FOX. “I mean, it’s mostly just my level of burnout. I think I’ve always been someone who talks like I’m talking in a textbook, so I don’t think Risk made it more, but no, it definitely changed my schedule and to be honest, it focused on the amount of energy I still needed Call me KatMayim said.

“And last year, apparently, it was an unusual situation to burn the candle at both ends,” she added. ‘But this year, I’m actually fulfilling a lot of my responsibilities to Risk in a way that I don’t feel like taking our time from what we do at Call me Kat. So I guess that’s a difference. But I was so relieved when I put on my sneakers Call me Kat most of the time. And more Risk, I always have to wear heels.”

David Sibley is the current champion

Present Risk! the champion is the bishop priest David Sibley. David is from Walla Walla, Washington. As of September 27, he is on a one-day winning streak with $21,809 in earnings. The Mike Richards Scandal

Risk! went through a lot of drama in the summer of 2021 related to Mike’s work as host. Mike was the show’s Executive Producer when he was appointed as the permanent host in August 2021. However, he announced he would be stepping down as the general game show host on the 20th. August following the backlash and resurgence of past controversies. The decision was made just a few days later Ringer published a report that included controversial comments made by Mike on The Randumb Showpodcast in 2013 and 2014. During one episode, he called his co-host and former assistant What Triffon a “ho stall” and “a whore stall.” In a 2014 episode, Mike said one-piece swimsuits make women “look so sloppy and overweight.” After these comments surfaced, the podcast was taken down and he apologized in a statement.

Before the podcast scandal, Mike had to deal with past harassment and discrimination lawsuits during his time as an executive producer on Good price. In a statement to The WrapMike replied to the former model Brandi Cochran’s litigation.
