2. Emma is non-binary.

Emma opened up about their non-binary identities while discussing Rhaenrya’s challenges as a woman in Dragon’s House. “Rhaenyra is having a constant battle over what it means to be a woman and a basic outsider,” said the actor. The Hollywood Reporter. “She is scared of being constrained in the role of mother and is aware of how different her position would be if she were a man. I am a non-binary person. I’ve always found myself pulled and repulsed by masculine and feminine identities and I think that plays out honestly here. She can’t go to court in a way that comes easily to others.”

3. Emma is from London.

Emma grew up in the London area. They attended Ruskin School of the Arts, an art school at the University of Oxford. They are also joint artistic directors at the Forward Arena Theater Company in London.

Emma said EW that they sent a “very fast audition tape” in the middle of the pandemic to Dragon’s House. They recorded themselves on an iPhone placed on a chip bag. They auditioned for 3 months. In an interview with HBO, Emma revealed that they were told the part likely wouldn’t go their way right before they landed the role.
