The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office first announced in June 2020 that the actor had been charged with three counts of rape “by force or fear” in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred in 2016. 2001 and 2003. Deputy DA Los Angeles confirmed in a statement to HollywoodLife.com that all the attacks are believed to have taken place at Danny’s home in the Hollywood Hills.

At the pre-trial hearing on October 7, the judge in Danny’s rape case brought up the topic of Scientology while laying the groundwork for the proceedings ahead. Judge Charlaine Olmedo said, according to Diversity. However, the judge indicated that she would allow Scientology testimony, since Danny is a scientific scientist, and the three women he was accused of raping were members of the church. At the pre-trial hearing, Danny’s attorney Sharon Appelbaum reportedly argued that the three accusers “formed a sisterhood” to take down Danny and Scientology. She also accused the former scientist Leah Remini related.

He played Steven Hyde in all eight seasons of the sitcom, which ran from 1998-2006. He became close friends with his male co-stars, Ashton Kutcher and Wilmer Valderrama.

4. Danny is married and has a daughter.

He started dating fellow models and scientists Bijou Phillips in 2005. She is the daughter of the late Mamas and Papas musician/musician John Phillips and actress Genevieve Waite. The couple married in 2011 and welcomed their first and only child, daughter Fiona on February 14, 2014. On June 12, 2020, Bijou shared a family photo on Instagram showing Fiona wearing a cap and gown after graduating from kindergarten. On June 17, 2020, after the DA’s allegations were made public, Danny’s attorneys Thomas Mesereau released a statement for HollywoodLife.com It reads: “Mr. Masterson is innocent and we are confident that he will be vindicated when all evidence is finally brought to light and witnesses have a chance to testify.

It continued, “Obviously, Mr Masterson and his wife are absolutely shocked considering these nearly 20-year-old allegations have suddenly led to charges being filed, but they and their family are comforted in know that eventually the truth will come out. Those who know Mr. Masterson know his character and know the allegations are untrue.”
