Travis Barker Performs With Dave Grohl & The Foo Fighters At Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert: Watch

First star Taylor Hawkins The Tribute Show takes place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (September 3), and Travis Barker was one of many who came to celebrate the life and legacy of the Foo Fighters drummer. Travis, 46, celebrates Taylor, who passed away in March at age 50, by playing “The Pretender” with Dave Grohl and live band. Travis gave an energetic performance playing right behind Dave, wearing only a beanie and a necklace. Iconic Blink 182 danced along as Dave sang early in the song, moving clearly with the moment and the music.

Travis gave fans a few behind-the-scenes photos via his Instagram Story in the days leading up to the concert. On September 1, Travis posted a photo of his dressing room at Wembley Stadium. He also shared a picture of his drum kit during rehearsals. his wife, Kourtney kardashian, also posted to her Instagram (and official POOSH) the adventures she’s had with Travis ahead of this Hawkins life celebration.

Taylor’s death dealt a blow to Travis. “I have no words,” he wrote on March 26, captioning a black and white photo of Taylor relaxing backstage. “So sad to write this or never to see you again. I’ll never forget the days at Laguna Beach when I was a trash guy playing in a punk rock band, and you played along. Alanis [Morrisette]. You would come see me play in dive bars and be like, ‘kid, you’re a star.’ And I thought you were crazy, but you gave me so much hope and determination.”

“Years later, we toured together with [Blink-182] and Foo’s in Australia, “Barker continues,” and I have the best memories of smoking in the restrooms of the flights we took together and watching your sets every night. To say I will miss you my friend is not enough. Until the next time we talk drums and smoke in the men’s room… Rest In Peace. “

In April, Travis celebrated his friend and their relationship by getting a tattoo. “HAWK forever,” he captioned a gallery about his arrival at the Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood with Kourtney and his friend/photographer, Daniel Rojas.
