‘Sweet Magnolias’ Season 3: When Will It Be Released & What Happened Last Season

Sweet Magnolias has proven to be one of the most loved Netflix shows of the past two years, that’s why it’s refreshed for a third season! The cast and crew have been working hard on filming new episodes over the summer and are expected to be completed soon. The series is based on the novel by Sherry Woodsstar JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Maddy), Brooke Elliott (Dana Sue), Heather Headley (Helen), and Jamie Lynn Spears (Noreen), and just finished its second season in February 2022.

A lot of memorable moments happened in the latest season and made fans of the show want to find out what will continue to happen in the lives of the characters. One of the highlights of the show for its fans in February was when Maddie, Helen and Dana Sue mourned the passing of Miss Frances.Cindy Karr). As for how Maddie will react when she finds out Cal’s secret side got him handcuffed at the end of season 2, Sheryl said that the latter will likely examine his life and choices, in upcoming episodes. “In a potential third season, it’s definitely something Cal needs to unpack and check if he’s handled the events of the past properly, why did he lose it while not losing sight of it is very important to him and the choices he can make in the future,” Sheryl said. Another storyline that could go further in season 3 is the recall election and the implication that Maddie should replace the mayor if he loses. Eventually, Isaac, a kitchen worker at Sullivan’s restaurant, found out who his biological parents were, but their reactions to the news varied widely. Another question is whether he feels worried about Isaac’s close friendship with Noreen, the mother of the love child that ended his marriage to Maddie.

As for where season 3 will be filmed, it is reported that it will continue to take place in Covington and Atlanta, GA, like the previous seasons. Part 3 release date

No official release date has been announced for the third season, but it is reported that production will end in October 2022, which could mean a 2023 release date. In July 2022, JoAnna also posted about returning to the show, in an Instagram post showing a photo of herself smiling in character. “Maddie’s smack is back 💇🏻‍♀️ Can only mean one thing… #sweetmagnoliasnetflix #season3,” she wrote. On September 3, 2022, Sheryl, who posted behind-the-scenes photos taken while filming, revealed that they were halfway through the filming of the new season. “Many thanks to @dulceartisangelato for helping us celebrate Midweek!!! It’s hard to believe we’re halfway through Season 3. Time flies when you get to work with the people you love!!! ” she writes.

Cast

JoAnna: JoAnna plays Maddie Townsend, a woman with three children in the small town of Serenity, South Carolina, where she attended high school. She has gone through her divorce from ex-husband Bill and is dating Cal Maddox, who had a lot of dark sides and was handcuffed in the season two finale. Her best friends are Helen Decatur and Dana Sue Sullivan, who own The Corner Spa with her, and she’s trying to get through life, including romance, career, and more. so again.

Brooke: Brooke plays Dana Sue Sullivan, wife of Ronnie Sullivan and mother of Annie Sullivan. In addition to running The Corner Spa with her friends, Maddie and Helen, she is also Sullivan’s chef and restaurateur. Season 2 ends with a mysterious woman slashing her tire.

She is the head of production and has spoken out about the show many times in interviews.
