Sheryl Lee Ralph gave one of the most emotional acceptance speeches of all time after she won her first Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. The Abbott Elementary School Star was completely stunned when her name was called. Her co-star, Tyler James Williamshelped her get on stage.

When Sheryl stepped into the limelight, she knew it was her moment. The actress started to sing Dianne Reeves the song “Endangered Species.” All eyes were on Sheryl. You can hear pins falling in the room. She was absolutely charming.
“Anyone who has ever had a dream and thinks your dream… can’t come true. I am here to tell you that this is what trust looks like. This is what striving looks like. And never, never give up on you,” Sheryl said.
Sheryl looked stunning in a black strapless dress on her big night. The dress, designed by Brandon Blackwood, has a thigh-high slit with orange lining. Sheryl added a little sparkle to her look. Her braids are studded with gorgeous crystals.
Sheryl wins is Abbott’s Elementary School first gold of the night. The comedy series was a hit in its first season, becoming an instant hit for ABC. Sheryl’s performance as Mrs. Barbara Howard is part of an incredible cast that includes Quinta Brunson, Lisa Ann Walter, Janelle James, Chris Perfettiand Tyler. The show was also nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.
