R kelly was found guilty by a jury of producing child pornography and luring a minor girl to perform a sexual act during the federal trial on child pornography in the U.S. Dirksen Court. in Chicago on September 14. The obnoxious rapper, 55, was found guilty of 6 of 13 counts against him, including “four counts of producing child pornography, one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice by setting a trial in 2008, one count of conspiracy to receive child pornography, two counts of actually receiving the film and five counts of solicitation coaxing a minor to have sex”, according to NBC New York. One of the charges for which he was acquitted was attempting to carry out his 2008 state child pornography trial, on which he was found not guilty. The minimum prison sentence for each charge varies from five to 20 years, each Rolling Stone.
The guilty verdict is the second for R. Kelly, who was found guilty of fraud and sex trafficking in 2021 at federal court in Brooklyn. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison in June.
