Once heir to the throne, Prince George ended the long day of her great-grandmother’s funeral with a cheeky gesture. In the pictures you can SEE HERE, the 9-year-old member of the Royal Family is seen in a car following services for Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, September 19, glared at a photographer, and then stuck out his tongue mercilessly from behind the passenger’s safety glass. Beside me, sister Princess Charlotte7 years old, stole a glance at photographers after the Westminster Abbey incident Prince Louis4, was not present at the event – he was considered too young for a somber occasion.

Mommy Kate Middleton40 and Queen Consort Camilla Parker BowlesThe 75-year-old, also visible, is sitting in the back seat but doesn’t seem to notice the kid’s antics. George, who is currently third in line to the British throne, looks dapper in a vintage suit and tie, but it’s clear from the photos that the long day at Westminster Abbey in London has taken a toll on the royal young family. Princess Charlotte was seen earlier in the day, deeply moved and comforted by her mother, who is now the Princess of Wales following the King’s death at the age of 96.

Queen Elizabeth passed away on Thursday, September 8, and her historic state funeral, an unprecedented seven decades on her throne, is expected to be grand. World leaders including the United States President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden attended, as did the French president Emmanuel Macron. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan MarkleThe Duchess of Sussex was also there for the funeral, although they are said to have been uninvited from a royal pre-funeral reception for “working members” of the Royal Family. The controversial couple stepped back from their working royal status in 2020.

However, that still doesn’t stop Prince William40, from inviting his brother, 38, and sister-in-law, 41, to sit with the family at the ceremonies – something that has certainly impressed young Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who are cousins with Meghan and Harry’s children Archie3 and Lilibetfirst.
