Olivia Wilde Insists There Are ‘So Many Untruths’ About ‘DWD’ Drama As She Showers Florence Pugh With Praise

In a new interview with ElleOlivia seemed to take it all in in stride, calling the film “untrue things”.

“It is shocking to see so many facts about myself being traded as a fact. This movie is trying to ask big questions, but [it’s] “Let’s just focus on this side performance here,” she explained, adding that public scrutiny has made her more aware of how it “divides women against each other.” Then she continued praising Florence Pugh, the film’s lead character, who is rumored to have a feud with Olivia. “She was very generous in her acting in every scene,” said Olivia. “She makes everyone around her better.”

She didn’t stop there with her praise for the young British star, as she revealed how much she appreciated Florence’s perspective on the drama surrounding the film. “Florence made a really wise comment that we didn’t sign up for a reality show,” explains Olivia. “And I liked that she spoke that way.” She also praised Florence for pointing out that the sex scenes in the film “overshadow” the entire work. “When Florence pointed out that this movie is so much bigger and better than just the sex scenes, I was happy when she said it because I felt the same way.”

Meanwhile, Olivia didn’t mention the drama surrounding her ex-lover Jason Sudeikis serve her custody papers in public, as she has said about it before, but she has commented on how she raised the two children she shares with Ted Lasso actors in the spotlight.

“If I was photographed without my children, people would assume I had abandoned them, like my child was somewhere in a hot car without me,” she explains. Elle. “You know why you don’t see me with my kids? Because I don’t let them be photographed.”
