Lili Reinhart Reveals Actors Aren’t Allowed To ‘Kiss With Tongue’ On CW Shows

Lili Reinhart Revealed some secrets about romance scenes on the CW in a new interview on Mixed joys and sorrows podcast on Thursday, August 18. As the 25-year-old actress talked about branching out into different and more serious roles, she revealed a bit of behind-the-scenes knowledge of how Riverdale The cast performs romantic scenes.

When she was promoting her new Netflix movie Looking both ways, she revealed how acting in the new drama is very different from her experience on Riverdale. She also pulled the curtain back a bit, when it came to wanting to take on more adult roles. “You can only be an adult on a CW show because you’re not even really allowed to kiss with your tongue,” she said. “That aspect of things is a little bit different.”

Lili shared about taking on roles that can help her “turn the needle” for the next phase of her acting career. While she may be best known for her role as the female lead Betty Cooper in the popular series Riverdale, her new movie Look both ways shows her as a recent college graduate exploring two very different possibilities of staying in her hometown and becoming a mother or following her dreams in Los Angeles, according to IMDb.

When Riverdale concluding after the seventh season, Lili also revealed what kind of roles she was looking to be a star. “Definitely roles you haven’t seen me play in. I am an adult! I’m a grown woman and I’m going to start playing more adult roles. ” she speaks.

Although looking to the future for her to expand her portfolio as an actress, Lili and her Riverdale all of the co-stars seem to have a special bond, after having starred in the series for six seasons. Lili and her co-star Camila Mendez went to TikTok together to shed some light on their past relationship with their co-stars Cole Sprouse and Charles Melton, respectively, back in March.
