Why Leah Remini Didn’t Attend BFF Jennifer Lopez’s Wedding In Georgia

Leah Remini52 years old, not there to celebrate her BFF Jennifer Lopezwedding of Ben Affleck in Georgia on Saturday, and it’s all because she’s trying to be a good mother, according to TMZ. The actress spent time with her 18-year-old daughter, Sofia, who is about to enter college, sources said. Although she is said to have been invited to the big event, which takes place at Ben’s incredible mansion, she wants to be as close to him as possible before leaving.

Some of the reasons Leah wants to spend as much time as possible with Sofia right now is because she misses out on a lot of precious time by being heavily involved in Scientology, TMZ also reported. She and J.Lo also still follow each other on social networks, so there is not any animosity between them, despite the rumors surrounding since the absence of the wedding. The two have been close in the past so hopefully they can start a conversation soon!

Leah, who can be seen with J.Lo in an earlier social media post below, isn’t the only one noticeably missing from J.Lo and Ben’s wedding. Ben’s brother, Casey Affleck, is also an absence. The actor was seen grabbing coffee from Starbucks in LA on the day of the ceremony and although he was approached by the paparazzi and asked why he wasn’t attending, he gave no answer. However, his son was getting ready to go to college for the first time around the same time as other students were entering, so that may be one, if not the only, reason he can’t come. Okay.

Like Leah, however, there doesn’t seem to be any evil relationship between Casey and his new wife. He took to his Instagram to congratulate the “Jenny from the Block” singer on their special day, and even shared the love in his message. He also shared a snap of himself walking with the couple.

“Good things are worth waiting for. It’s here to rotate and turn, make new beginnings, and find new reservoirs of old love. Welcome to the family. Get ready for some real dysfunction! Joke. I’m joking. Jen, you are a gem. We love you so much!!! ❤️,” he wrote.
