Josh Brolin, 54, Works Out Shirtless & Takes Ice Cold Bath As He Preps For ‘Dune 2’

Josh Brolin54 years old, gave fans a glimpse of his preparations for the upcoming event Sand dunes next part. The actor took to Instagram on Thursday, August 4, and shared a video of a “morning warm-up”. Josh’s workout is no joke: it consists of some strenuous workouts in the sauna, followed by a “cold soak” in an ice bath, followed by cardio and core workouts. This guy is totally dedicated to his job!

At the beginning of the video, Josh is doing squats and push-ups while topless in an outdoor sauna inside a cabin. He then exits the sauna and enters a gray ice bath, where he groans from the cold temperature. A ton of water came out of the tub as Josh sat in it to cool his body. According to Josh’s post, the ice bath is at 36 degrees.

The Avengers: Endgame the star detailed his full workout in his caption. He does half an hour of 20 squats, 20 dips, and 20 push-ups in a sauna set to 225 degrees. Next, he soaked in a 36-degree ice bath for five minutes. He ends the morning with 25 minutes of cardio and a “no rest” core workout. Josh also shared that he consumes “tons of spices,” which is a reference to the sci-fi movie.

Josh is set to reprise the role of Gurney Halleck in Dune: Part Twofilming has begun and will hit theaters on November 17, 2023. Gurney is House Atreides’ weapons master and mentor to Paul Atreides, who was Timothy Chalamet. Sand dunesbased Frank HerbertThe novel of the year 1965, is set in the future and follows Paul as his family is thrust into war over the desert planet Arrakis.

Timothee, as well Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave baptistand Javier Bardem will also be back with Josh cho Sand dune 2. Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walkenand Leah Seydoux are joining the franchise as new characters. The first film won six Academy Awards and was nominated for Best Picture.
