Guadalupe and JLo are very close – so close that the singer often posts about her lovely mother on social networks. The matriarch of the JLo family was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and is also the mother of JLo’s sisters. Leslie Lopezand Linda Lopez, 51. Guadalupe had a humble upbringing and she worked hard to ensure her children had a great life. During her younger years, she made a living selling Tupperware and working at a school, American Sun reported.

JLo’s mother found love when she met David, and she has since become a full-time homemaker for their family. David and Guadalupe raised their three daughters in a small apartment in the Castle Hill neighborhood in the South Central Bronx. In May 2021, Guadalupe even appeared in a campaign for Jennifer’s skin care line, JLo Beauty. In the video, Jennifer brags about her loving mother. “It was my mother who instilled in us from a very young age that we could do anything,” she said. “This is what has really stayed with me.”

David Lopez

Jennifer’s father, David, has been by his daughter’s side in many of her accomplishments. And although David is quieter and less attentive than his wife, Jennifer has been very public about her admiration for her father. Back in 2016, Jennifer shared a sweet birthday Instagram post to David. She captioned the post, “Happy Birthday to this amazing man who raised me into the person I am today and who showed me that unconditional love really exists!!!”

During his younger years, David worked at Guardian Insurance Company before becoming the company’s computer technician. David has always supported his daughter’s singing career. He even stood by her side at the 2013 Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony, along with her family.

Back in 2007, Jennifer spoke to CBS about her father, especially his Scientology religion. “My father has been a scientist for 20 years. He’s the best man I’ve known in my life and so it’s weird to me that people want to paint it in a negative way,” she said.
