The Academy Award winner took to her Instagram on October 24 to share a new installment of her “MindUP Monday” series, which focuses on ways to keep your mind and body healthy. . This time, she showed people easy exercises they can do right at home, including jumping on a workout trampoline, using wine bottles in place of weights (“That’s great – they both weigh the same!” she exclaimed), and went for a walk. She demonstrates each exercise option as she explains how beneficial it is with an upbeat tone and a smile on her face.
After she showed off her three easy workout tips, Shocked The actress sat down on a yoga mat and taught her followers how to relax. “Now sit down, cross your legs, take a deep breath, and thank yourself for taking the time today,” she said. “Relax your body and have a great day!”
Not only is Goldie mentally beautiful and looking fit, but she also wears the cutest workout gear for her video tutorial. The star wore an all-black ensemble of biker shorts and a tank and matched ‘suit with black sneakers. Her signature blonde hair was pulled back in an easy ponytail and her makeup-free face glowed in the Southern California sun.
Goldie reinforces the importance of exercise in her caption. “Research shows that people who exercise regularly have better mental and emotional health. Exercise can help boost mood, focus and also help us gain a positive outlook on life,” she explains. “The good news is that exercise doesn’t have to be strenuous or take a long time to make us feel good. Studies show that low- or moderate-intensity exercise is enough to make a difference in our moods, behaviors, and ways of thinking.”
The “MindUp Monday” series is in partnership with MindUp, the main program of the Goldie Hawn Foundation. Founded in 2003, the foundation aims to “help children develop the knowledge and tools they need to manage stress, regulate emotions, and face the challenges of the 21st century with optimism, resilience, and compassion,” according to the organization’s website.
The Golden Globe winner previously posted a video for her “MindUP Monday” series about “time off.” Goldie explains that a mental break is a three- to five-minute period in which you relax your body and focus on your breathing and let your thoughts flow out of your head. “Let those thoughts go… you will find some time for yourself,” she instructs.
Goldie has been a mental health and wellness advocate for many years and recently shared a video about mental health awareness for World Mental Health Day on October 10. In the video, she revealed that she struggled with mental health in her youth, which is why she feels so strongly about it now. “We have the potential to get better if we put in the effort and if we help those we love and even some that we don’t,” she said.
