She gave us this bold new space for us to find our own way to dream and soar into the music we make, the careers and the lives we have. She was always nice, kind and supportive to all of us. Every person in this room has a story they can share. She is very knowledgeable and funny.

At that point, Faith had to stop for a moment because she choked on tears. “I am honored to be in your presence, Loretta,” she concluded. “I am so grateful to have had so many memories with you. I’m proud to be a woman in country music, proud to be a mother, proud to have had the privilege of following you on the musical path you’ve ignited for all of us. Loretta passed away at the age of 90 on October 4.
