Michael Allius end everything with Sierra Jackson on the 10th episode of Bachelor in Paradise. Things have been going great between the pair since day one of the show, and they have had deep conversations. However, when Sierra started talking about the possibility of becoming a stepmother to her son Michael, things started to move a bit fast.
Sierra graciously tells Michael that she bought a constellation for him, his late wife, Lauraand their son, James, so the three of them could always be together, no matter where Michael ended up. Michael was emotional and told Sierra that she was “the most caring person” he had ever met. However, he knew that he still had to tell her that he was having doubts about their relationship.

Michael said: “The past few days, I have taken the time to enjoy our position and know that this whole thing happened very quickly. “At the same time, however, some things take time. I feel like I can’t put my finger on it, but something is missing with us. I know you can feel I’m being protected and I don’t mean to, I really don’t. I’m trying to find a way back to happiness and what scares me the most is that I’m using people I really care about to help me get there and I’m hurting them along the way. And it’s bothering me. I care so much about you and I don’t want you to be one of those people. I think the best thing right now is just space away from the romantic pressure and let’s just stay friends.”

Sierra and Michael hug it out, but she doesn’t want to stay on the show anymore because their relationship is over. She told the rest of the group that she was leaving. “Of course I’m upset, I’m sad. I really care about him,” she admitted tearfully. “I still care about him. No matter what, I don’t want anything bad to happen to him. I mean, I still want him, but I have to respect what he needs. That’s what you do when you care about someone. You support them and respect what they need. I also don’t want to see him date someone else, so I’d rather go home and be with my family.”
Michael also cried when he said goodbye to Sierra, officially ending their relationship. “It makes me sad,” he said in a confessional. “My dating history after Laura passed away was just something I was trying to navigate. Dealing with grief, there are no rules for it. But it’s like… I don’t want the pain I have to feel to spill over into someone else’s world. That is not their problem. I don’t want to hurt people in the process – good people, like Sierra. That’s not what I do. That’s not what I want to do.”
