Visibility is always a double-edged sword. In a way, it’s unbelievable to see the world, and by extension, the fashion industry, have begun to campaign for change. From the call to action to support LGBTQ+ brands to make sure next generation of talent given the opportunity to enter, the industry has made great strides in the right direction over the past few years. But on the other hand, there’s an explosion of often bogus marketing tactics for Pride Month. Every brand wants to stay relevant, so they’re willing to drop rainbow decorations to be part of the conversation without making regular contributions to organizations like Project Trevor and ACLU or assist with legislation that protects our civil liberties.

You don’t have to buy another cliché t-shirt (unless you want to); there are so many talented designers that create amazing pieces that can be worn and bought all year round.

So, with that in mind, I’ve rounded up the best finds from 30 LGBTQ-founded fashion brands. From campy-inspired evening gowns to gay buttonholes, these pieces remind us that supporting the LGBTQ+ community isn’t just about wearing a rainbow for one month of the year; it’s putting your money at your true value. And what’s more stylish than that?
