Ranbir-Alia announced newborn daughter name ‘Raha’; Check Out the name meaning
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who are proud to be parents of a baby girl earlier this month, have named their daughter Raha.
Mumbai: Bollywood star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who are proud to be parents of a baby girl earlier this month, have named their daughter Raha.
Alia used her Instagram handle to reveal the baby girl’s name on Thursday. She uploaded a photo of herself with Ranbir in the frame.
Ranbir, Alia and Raha are not very clear in the image due to the depth of field of the lens, but the name ‘Raha’ can be clearly seen on the FC Barcelona jersey hanging on the wall behind them. Ranbir is known to be a fan of the Spanish football club that is topping the La Liga football league this year.
Explaining the many meanings behind her daughter’s name, Alia wrote in the caption: “Raha, in its purest form, means the divine way; in Swahili she is Joy; In Sanskrit, Raha means clan; in Bangla – rest, comfort, relief; in Arabic, peace; it also means happiness, freedom and happiness.”
She added: “And true to her name, from the first moment we hugged her – we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha for bringing our family to life, it feels like our lives have just begun.”
