Hollywood producer Jason Blum is sure that Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ will be named Best Picture at this year’s Oscars.
Mumbai: Hollywood producer Jason Blum is sure that Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s masterpiece ‘RRR’ will be awarded Best Picture at this year’s Oscars.
The founder of Hollywood studio Blumhouse, who has produced Oscar-winning films like ‘Get Out’ and horror films like ‘Paranormal Activity’ and ‘Insidious’ wrote on Twitter: “I agree with RRR winning. best movie award. You are the first to hear it here. Please mark it down.”
“If I’m right, I’ll give the Oscars myself,” he added.
‘RRR’ stars NTR Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Olivia Morris.
The film revolves around two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, their fictional friendship and their fight against the British Raj.
Set in the 1920s, the plot explores an undocumented period in their lives when both revolutionaries chose to sink into the shadows before they began fighting for their country.
