Delhi Police summons Jacqueline to join probe on Wednesday
New Delhi: In a latest development regarding the Rs 200 Anti-Money Laundering case involving millionaire tycoon Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the Economic Crimes Unit (EOW) of the Delhi Police on Monday issued New summons for Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez to join the investigation on Wednesday.
She was supposed to appear on Monday but for some reason it was postponed. She wrote an email to the Delhi Police, asking them to postpone the questioning of her, which was scheduled to take place on Monday. Her request was accepted by the police.
Now, officials have issued a new summons for her.
Earlier in the first week of September, EOW officials recorded the testimony of another Bollywood actress, Nora Fatehi in the matter.
Chandrashekhar has been arrested for allegedly scamming and blackmailing a number of celebrities, including former Fortis Healthcare promoter, Shivinder Mohan Singh’s wife, Aditi Singh. Many Bollywood actors and models have been questioned by the Director of Enforcement for alleged links to Chandrashekhar.
In April last year, he was arrested in another money-laundering case linked to the 2017 Election Commission bribery case, which was allegedly linked to a former AIADMK leader, among others. .
