Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s charity NGO Meer Foundation has come forward to support the family of Delhi crash victim, Anjali Singh, by donating an undisclosed amount.
Mumbai: Bollywood superstar by Shah Rukh Khan Charity NGO Meer Foundation has come forward and supported the family of Delhi crash victim Anjali Singh by donating an undisclosed amount.
A statement read: “Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation donates an undisclosed amount to Anjali Singh’s family. Anjali, 20, was killed in a brutal hit-and-run that took place in Kanjhawala, Delhi. The Meer Foundation’s support is aimed at helping the family, especially the mother with her health problems, while fully supporting Anjali’s siblings.”
The Meer Foundation is a charitable foundation named after Shah Rukh’s father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, that aims to create change at the grassroots level and works to build a world that empowers women.
In the past, the Meer Foundation has supported and contributed to various causes to support disadvantaged women and children.
Anjali Singh, a 20-year-old woman, died painfully after being dragged about 12 km by a car in the national capital at dawn on January 1.
