New Delhi: It’s Official! Businessman Lalit Modi and actress Sushmita Sen are dating. Taking to Twitter, Lalit Modi confirmed the news on Thursday, July 14. Besides that, he shared several pictures featuring him and his “better half”, Sushmita Sen, describing it as ” a new beginning”. He then made it clear that they are not yet married but plan to tie the knot one day. With the announcement made, fans wondered if the ring on the actress’ finger was her engagement ring.

As reported by India Today, the ring that Sushmita Sen showed off in the viral photos is not her engagement ring. If you scroll down to the actress’s Instagram page, you can see that the actress wore the same ring in February 2021, when she was in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl. Also, in another video during her promotion for Aarya, the actress is seen wearing the same ring.

On Thursday, the controversial businessman took to Twitter to announce that he is dating Sushmita Sen. Sharing some pictures, he tweeted: “Just got back to London from a whirlwind global tour of #maldives #sardinia with families – not to mention my #betterhalf@sushmitasen47 – a final fresh start a new life. Very happy.”

Quoting Sushmita Sen’s brother, Rajeev Sen, India Today reports: “I was also surprised. I will talk to my sister about this.”
Lalit Modi is an Indian businessman currently working in London. He fled the country in 2010 after an investigation into a money-laundering case began.
