New Delhi: Daniel Kaluuya, who plays W’Kabi in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, says he won’t be starring in the film’s sequel. As reported by Deadlin.com, the Oscar-winning actor has confirmed that he will not be reprising his role of W’Kabi in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
Kaluuya is reported to have left the Marvel project due to conflicts with the scheduling of Jordan Peele’s horror film ‘Nope’. The plot of the sequel is currently unknown, but it will be interesting to see how Marvel Studios managed to end the film without the two actors starring in the film. In the absence of T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman, it will not be revealed who will be the next ruler of Wakanda.

W’Kabi is a trusted friend of T’Challa and the head of the Border Tribe who looks after Wakanda’s border security. It is not yet known whether Marvel Studios will replace Kaluuya or if they will work in the absence of W’Kabi. The film’s sequel will feature Dania Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Agent Ross, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku and Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia in the main cast. ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ star Dominique Thorne will also join the general cast as she will take on the character of Riri Williams aka Ironheart.
The film is being directed by Ryan Coogler, who also directed the film’s prequel. ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is scheduled to open on November 11 in theaters.
